
Ok The Maloof Money Cup kicked off today if you dont know what it is it is a contest and which skaters from all over who u usually dont see much of except in the video games there sponsorship videos or just here and there. But this year is gonna be great it is a three day contest you can catch a live stream at Fueltv.com/Maloofmoneycup. The Maloof Money Cup offers the largest purse in the history of professional skateboarding with nearly $450,000 in cash and prizes, which is awarded in three formats: the Carl’s Jr. Pro Vert Championship, the Zoo York Pro Street Championship and the U.S. Women’s Pro Street Championship. And don’t miss the excitement as the world’s best amateurs battle it out in the World Industries Amateur Street and Vert Championship.Last year in the Maloof Money Cup’s Pro Street final, Paul Rodriguez won the largest amount ever awarded for a skate contest, taking home $100,000. Pro vert rider Pierre-Luc Gagnon won a $75,000 purse in the Vert finals.

Friday’s Vert Preliminaries included 16 skaters in two heats of eight. Each heat skated a jam in two sections of the ramp: a rail jam on the Mini Mega Ramp and an “8 Ball” eight wall run. The unique Mini Mega Ramp set-up made for some incredible skateboarding, and the competition between Alex Perelson and Adam Taylor was especially intense, with Alex squeaking into first place. The top 7 Vert skaters advancing to the Saturday Semi Finals and joining 7 pre-qualified skaters are:
